This week, we have opportunities available in retail, hospitality, construction and aquaculture, as well as the public sector. If you are interested in applying for any of these roles and are looking for some additional help and support in completing your application, preparing for interview or writing a CV, LifeSkills are running a Job Club every Thursday from 9.30am-12pm. There is no need to make an appointment, just drop-in to their office at Atholl House, Albert Street, Kirkwall (between The Orcadian Bookshop and Logo Orkney) and they will be able to help you.  Any young person who is interested in developing some new skills is invited to take up a volunteering opportunity in Stromness during the October holidays.
As part of the commemorations of the 100th anniversary of the scuttling of the German Fleet in Scapa Flow, the Stromness Museum are hosting a conference to explore the Orkney perspective of the scuttling and Kolekto, who are running the events, are looking for volunteers to help out.
