Nuffield Research Placement Opportunity

​A Nuffield Research placement opportunity is being offered this summer with an organisation based in Orkney, and interested school pupils are invited to submit their applications now.
 
Nuffield Research Placements are supervised but independent research projects that are undertaken in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) area.  They take place over the summer after S5 and involve online activities and a placement with a local employer.
 
The opportunity is open to pupils who are currently in S5 and meet the qualifying criteria.  There is no cost for taking part in the placement, with travel costs being reimbursed and a £200 bursary available to those who meet the eligibility criteria.

As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, Skills Development Scotland are hosting a webinar for parents and carers to help them learn how an apprenticeship can open the door on a wide range of carers.
 
The webinar will be held on Thursday 10 March, 6.30pm-7.15pm and at it you will hear from Careers Advisers about Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships.
