This week's post includes some temporary positions to support businesses over the festive period, along with some full-time, part-time and temporary positions with a variety of local businesses. At a job interview you will need to speak about your previous experience, so when you're preparing for the interview think about what you've done and what you've achieved in the past and how this can relate to the job you're applying for. This week, we have full and part-time opportunities available including administration roles with local businesses and various roles with local hotels. There is also an opportunity to register as a Temp with the Orkney Employment Consultancy.  Applied Arts Scotland have been working on the development of apprenticeships in crafts for a number of years, undertaking a pilot programme of shared apprenticeship in 2017/18.
They have recently completed a short piece of research into the potential for craft apprenticeships in Orkney, which has told them there is a strong appetite and an immediate need. They are now undertaking a survey to quantify demand. They are keen to hear from individuals, businesses and organisations based in Orkney.
