Writing your first CV and not sure you have anything to add that will make you stand out? Think: Were you a captain of a team? Did you coordinate something complicated? Did you plan a backpacking trip? All of these unique skills are worth highlighting!  Recently, we have been working with the local schools to support senior pupils in identifying and securing work placements.
This has been a really interesting experience, and has been a great chance for us to learn more about the career ambitions of some of our local young people. Speaking to them, it’s clear that while some of them have a very definite idea about their preferred career destination, others are still exploring the options available to them. On this website, we have some interview dos and don'ts - check them out here.  The 'No Wrong Path' campaign was started by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Glasgow in 2017. The campaign runs on the day the Scottish exam results are released and aims to highlight that many people in interesting jobs didn't necessarily take a straight, obvious or traditional path to get there.
