![]() Are you a school pupil aged 14 years and over who is interested in developing some customer care skills to help you in your part-time job? If so, Business Gateway are hosting a FREE Customer Connection Workshop for school pupils to help them develop the vital customer care skills that employers are looking for. During the workshop, you will look at what a good customer experience looks like, what customers want and you will be given the tools to help you deliver great customer care, including how to deal with different personalities – even the more difficult ones! Anyone attending the course will receive a certificate to show they have taken part, which you can then take to your current or prospective employer.
This is an ideal course for anyone who is looking for a part-time job, or already has one. Employers really look for good customer skills and your attendance at this workshop is something you can add to your CV and help you stand out from the crowd. One local employer who looks for good customer skills from their employees is Martin Fleet, Managing Director of Sheila Fleet Jewellery. He said: “We are very interested in people with excellent customer care skills! This course offers young people a valuable, and free, opportunity to extend their skills and show potential employers that they have started essential customer care training. We would welcome contact from pupils who successfully complete the course and appreciate the importance of service with a smile.” The workshop will take place on Friday 21 June, 1.15pm-3.45pm in the St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall. Spaces are limited so you will need to reserve your place here. You will need to register before you can reserve a space – don’t worry you don’t have to be a business to register so don’t let that put you off! You can also reserve a space by calling Business Gateway on (01856) 886 666, texting 07393 751 281 or by instant message on the Business Gateway (Orkney) Facebook page.
