Charlene joins our existing team of Leah Rendall and Charlotte Hoque, who are DYW School Co-ordinators at Kirkwall Grammar School and the Junior High Schools. Our School Co-ordinators work alongside Skills Development Scotland Careers Advisers, their respective school’s Senior Management Teams and Guidance staff, as well as other partners to support young people into a positive destination. Until recently, the Administrative Assistant post was held by Andy Tait, who successfully completed his SVQ 2 and SVQ 3 Business and Administration qualifications during his time with DYW Orkney. You can read more about Andy’s journey with us below: The final School Co-ordinator joining our team is Luigi Borsotti, who will be based at Stromness Academy. The next DYW School Co-ordinator in our team is Leah Rendall, who will be based at Kirkwall Grammar School. Leah has always wanted to work with children and young people and has spent over 20 years doing just that in a variety of settings, most recently at Papdale Primary School. Here, Leah tells us a bit about her career journey. Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Orkney recently welcomed three new members to the team, as DYW School Co-ordinators.
